Heavy Equipment Rental Terms and Conditions
Client Inquiry:
The rental process begins when the client submits a formal inquiry to Doha Group expressing interest in the rental of heavy equipment.
Quotation from Doha Group:
Doha Group responds promptly by furnishing the client with a detailed quotation. This document includes comprehensive information on equipment specifications, terms, and associated costs.
Client’s Letter of Purchase Order (LPO):
Upon acceptance of the quotation, the client is required to issue a Letter of Purchase Order (LPO) as a formal acknowledgment and approval of the outlined terms and conditions.
Equipment Delivery:
Doha Group commits to ensuring the timely delivery of the requested heavy equipment to the designated project site or location specified by the client.
Payment Terms:
Payment for the heavy equipment rental services is to be made in strict adherence to the mutually agreed-upon terms stipulated in the contract between Doha Group and the client.
Operator Transportation, Food, and Accommodation:
Doha Group takes on the responsibility of providing transportation, food, and accommodation for the equipment operators throughout the entirety of the rental period.
Equipment Service and Maintenance:
Doha Group is obligated to provide regular and comprehensive service and maintenance for the rented equipment to ensure its continued optimal performance.
Accidental Coverage:
Any accidental damage to the rented equipment is covered in accordance with the terms specified in the insurance agreement. This ensures a clear understanding of the responsibilities of both parties in case of unforeseen events.
Minimum Working Hours:
The minimum working hours for the rented equipment are set at 10 hours per day, 6 days per week, and 26 days per month. This ensures that the client receives maximum value from the rental agreement.
Overtime Charges:
Overtime charges, if incurred, will be calculated on a pro-rata basis and clearly outlined in the contract terms to avoid any misunderstandings.
Equipment Usage Policy:
If the equipment operates for less than 10 hours in a given day, Doha Group will still consider the rental charge equivalent to 10 hours per day, emphasizing a commitment to minimum utilization standards.
Termination of Contract:
In the event of termination, the client is required to provide a notice period of at least 48 working hours before the intended termination date. This allows for smooth coordination and logistical arrangements.
Equipment Safety and Registration:
Doha Group is responsible for providing valid safety and registration documentation for the equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
Operator QID and Third-party Safety Induction:
Doha Group facilitates the provision of valid Operator Qatar ID (QID) and ensures that third-party safety inductions are completed as required by the client or project specifications.
Safety Induction and Training by Customer:
The client is responsible for providing necessary safety induction and training for the equipment operators, ensuring their familiarity with specific safety protocols and operational requirements of the project site.
These comprehensive terms and conditions form the framework for a transparent and mutually beneficial contractual agreement, outlining the responsibilities and expectations of both Doha Group and the client throughout the duration of the heavy equipment rental period. Additional Heavy Equipment Rental Terms and Conditions:
Client’s Work Order Permit:
The client is responsible for obtaining and providing a valid work order permit for the specified project site. Doha Group will commence equipment deployment upon confirmation of the necessary work order permit.
Restrictions in the Working Area:
The client shall communicate any restrictions or limitations within the designated working area. Doha Group will adhere to these constraints to ensure safe and compliant operation of the rented heavy equipment.
Kharam and Qtel Cable Damage:
Doha Group shall not be held responsible for any damage to Kharam and Qtel cables during the course of equipment operation. The client is advised to take necessary precautions and coordinate with relevant parties to prevent cable damage.
Traffic and Road Crossing Valuation:
Doha Group assumes no responsibility for any traffic or road crossing valuations incurred during the transportation of heavy equipment. The client is required to manage and cover any associated costs related to traffic control measures or road crossing valuations.
